Accessible Customer Service

  • Entry to the Safari is permitted with a service animal intended to assist a person with a disability.

  • Guide dogs for the blind are welcome.

  • Eligible visitors may receive line-skipping privileges by presenting proper certification (this exemption does not apply when waiting in a vehicle line).

  • If needed, you may contact service representatives at counters for assistance with filling out forms.

  • You may contact the Accessibility Coordinator to request information in formats suitable for your disability.

  • Staff training for accessible service — employees receive training to increase accessibility awareness and provide practical tools for inclusive service.

How the accessibility works on this site

The site uses the Osim Shivion (Make Equal) accessibility system, enabling users to choose comfortable viewing and browsing options.

By clicking the accessibility widget icon, the accessibility menu opens.

For easier keyboard navigation, activate “Keyboard Navigation” from the menu and use these keys:

If you cannot find the content you are looking for or need help from a service representative:

Accessibility Information at the Safari

Important Safety Notice

The Safari is an open area without protected shelters.
In the event of an air raid siren, please follow Home Front Command instructions.

 

Pedestrian Shuttle Service

  • Shuttle cost: ₪10 per passenger over age two.

  • Available in September (Saturdays), August, and during intermediate festival days, between 09:00–15:00 (no service between 13:30–14:00).

  • After 17:00, visitors can exit on foot only through the rear gate leading to the National Park.

 

Entry for Visitors with Disability Cards

  • Holders of an official disability card are eligible for discounted tickets.

  • Holders of a card stating “Exempt from companion payment” may bring one accompanying person free of charge.

  • Blind visitors presenting a Blind Certificate are granted free entry for non-guided visits.

  • Ticket purchases (or validation of pre-purchased tickets) are done from the vehicle window — no need to exit the car.

  • No animals are allowed into the Safari except certified service animals such as guide dogs.

 

Guided Safari Train Tours

When booking guided train tours (standard tours or birthday safaris), please inform the staff if any participants use wheelchairs or mobility aids so arrangements can be made.

 

Personal Audio System for Guided Tours

When booking a guided tour, you may request a personal FM hearing system.
It is compatible with T-coil (Telecoil) hearing aids or personal headphones (bring your own).
A valid ID must be deposited for use.

Tactile Exhibit for Blind Visitors

Holders of a Blind Certificate may visit the taxidermy room with their families.
Present the certificate at the information desk to be escorted (subject to room availability).

Accessibility in the Zoo

  • Accessible parking spaces are located near the zoo entrance.

  • Hearing assistance systems are available at the information desk and gift shop.

  • Each restroom facility includes an accessible stall (except the restaurant area).

  • The zoo is mostly flat and step-free, suitable for wheelchair mobility.

  • Main visitor paths are paved asphalt, with some side dirt paths.

  • We recommend bringing a stroller for young children.

Visitor Guidelines

  • The Safari entrance is by car only.

  • Entry is not permitted with scooters, bicycles (regular or electric).

  • Open flames (including barbecues) are not allowed in the zoo area.

  • No animals are allowed except service animals (with valid certification).

  • Do not exit your vehicle in the savanna area — animals are dangerous.

  • Keep windows closed in the lion enclosure.

 

Safety rules:

  • Give animals right of way while driving in the savanna.

  • No drones are allowed.

  • Do not feed the animals.

  • Do not cross barriers or fences.

  • Smoking is prohibited throughout the Safari and Zoo except in designated areas.

  • Commercial photography requires written approval from Safari management.
